Our client, a well-established team of print consultants and designers, is looking for creative, as well as technically able, marketing apprentices with a real passion and interest in digital technologies. The successful candidate will be joining an established team that already has experience of moulding marketing apprentices.

Wage

£16,000 a year
Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)
First year wage is offered between £16,000 and £19,000, depending on interview

What you'll do at work

Overview:

We are seeking an eager and motivated digital marketing apprentice to join our client in Rustington that has perfecting every element the printing industry for over 41 years.

As a marketing apprentice, you will be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, increase website traffic, and generate leads. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged.

Duties:

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email marketing, and search engine optimisation (SEO)
  • Manage social media accounts and create engaging content to increase brand visibility and engagement
  • Conduct market research and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital channels
  • Monitor website analytics to track performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Create compelling copy for digital ads, landing pages, blog posts, and other marketing materials
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Multi Channel Marketer qualification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proficient in project management tools and software
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team

What you'll learn

Course contents

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and/or English (if required)

Desirable qualifications

  • GCSE in:
    • Maths and English (grade C (4) or above)
