The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in marketing. As a Marketing Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced marketing professionals, gaining practical experience across a wide range of marketing activities while studying towards the Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship.
Supporting both the Group Head of Brand and our Digital Business Development Strategist, you will help deliver marketing campaigns, create engaging content, support digital marketing activity, and contribute to projects that promote Barrett Steel and its group companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Create and update content for websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, and marketing materials.
- Assist with social media scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
- Support content creation, including articles, case studies, photography, video, and promotional materials.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Assist with the organisation and promotion of exhibitions, events, and company initiatives.
- Help maintain brand consistency across all marketing communications.
- Monitor campaign performance and assist with reporting on key marketing metrics.
- Support website updates and digital marketing activities, including SEO and content optimisation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Barrett Steel Group and external suppliers to deliver marketing projects.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in marketing, communications, and digital media.
- Is enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates creativity and strong attention to detail.
- Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Has good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Understands the importance of social media, digital channels, and AI in modern marketing.
- Works well as part of a team and enjoys building relationships with others.
- Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Can drive (full UK licence required, as travel to other sites is necessary).
