The Role 🛼
We are looking for two enthusiastic Marketing Assistants to join our team! This is a fixed-term contract supporting on campaigns and events during the busy autumn term. The Marketing Assistants will be working with our team of Brand Ambassadors to ensure our campaigns and events are set up and performing. Our Audience 🎟
Our audience is young people aged 13-24, comprised of mostly school leavers and university students. You will be directly engaging with our university audience to inspire them with work experience opportunities.
Core Responsibilities 🍏
Events:
- Supporting our whole offline marketing strategy by attending university fresher fairs and careers fairs to promote our industry-leading platform Higherin.com to students across the UK.
- Talking and engaging with students at fairs, to encourage them to give us their data, which feeds directly into our student database. You will be given targets before each event that you will be motivated to reach.
- Making sure all data is captured correctly and the data is synced after each event.
- Updating social media at each event.
- Making sure that at each fair, our stand looks amazing.
- Organise travel and event logistics for each fair, including travel, overnight stays, and sending collateral to and from the fairs.
- Liaise with universities and suppliers to ensure the smooth running of events.
- Reporting on the number of students signed up at each event on our spreadsheet and inputting student feedback.
- Hiring and managing teams of student Brand Ambassadors for each university fair.

Marketing:
- Review moderation - moderating student reviews from placements and apprenticeships for our platform.
You are right for this role if... ✅
- Excellent understanding of the English language (both spoken and written)
- Quick learner with great initiative
- You are willing to travel throughout the UK, for the majority of your workweek
- You are confident in the role of solo on-site event manager at campus events.
Amazing (but not essential) if... 💭
- Previously undertaken work experience while at university
- Previous events or hospitality industry experience
- Attended careers fairs/ student recruitment events
- Been a Brand Ambassador
- Helped with the creation and organisation of events
- Experience working in a target-driven environment

Remote working✨
There will be regular travel to universities across the UK as part of this role, with costs covered by Higherin. Your attendance at the office will be required for some onboarding and training, and for offboarding, but otherwise the position is fully remote.
Salary 💰
£28,500 per annum, pro-rata. We are committed to paying the London Living Wage.
Contract Dates
This is a seven-week contract starting on Thursday, 10th September and going through Thursday, 29th October, with a possible three-week extension to Tuesday, 17th November.
