Marketing Assistant (Temporary 2-Month Contract)

Location: Battersea, London (Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in the office)

Salary: £12.71 an hour

Duration: 24th August 2026 – 23rd October 2026

Closing Date: Thursday 9th July 5pm BST

Please note that the marketing manager will be away for 3 weeks of this contract. The successful candidate will need to be able to execute the full marketing schedule during this time.

About the Role

Forum Auctions, a leading London-based auction house specialising in modern prints and editions, rare books, and manuscripts, is seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Assistant Intern to support our busy marketing team during an exciting period of auction activity.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1-2 years of marketing experience. This temporary role offers hands-on experience across digital marketing, social media, content creation, email marketing, and campaign coordination. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop practical marketing skills within a fast-paced auction house and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms including: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube utilising Later.
  • Create engaging marketing assets including video content, carousels, static graphics, and promotional posts for upcoming sales and events.
  • Research, develop, and write scripts highlighting key auction lots, coordinating approvals before filming and publication with the appropriate departments.
  • Film and edit short-form video content for social media channels, ensuring content aligns with current platform trends and best practices.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, through SendGrid, including content preparation, testing, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Contribute to website and content updates through the company CMS.
  • Monitor social media performance and audience engagement, helping to prioritise content based on campaign objectives and business needs.
  • Prepare concise performance reports and presentations for senior management, including campaign insights, competitor analysis, and key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with specialists across departments to deliver effective auction marketing campaigns and brand storytelling.
  • Assist with auction-day activities and operational support when required.
  • Provide ad hoc marketing and administrative support for advertising campaigns, partnerships, and promotional initiatives.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across all marketing channels and communications.

Requirements

  • Studied or recently graduated in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
  • Confidence using social media platforms and understanding current trends.
  • Basic video filming and editing skills (CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, particularly SendGrid, is advantageous.
  • Interest in AI tools and emerging marketing technologies is a plus.
