About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and creative Marketing Assistant to join our growing team and support the day-to-day delivery of marketing activity at The Events Company. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, and hands-on, and wants to build a career in marketing within the events industry.
Working closely with our sales team, you’ll play a key role in bringing campaigns to life, creating engaging content, keeping our channels up to date, and helping ensure everything we put out reflects our brand and standards.

Responsibilities include:
Social Media
- Assist with planning, creating and scheduling on-brand social media content across all platforms
- Support the growth of our social media channels through promotion, content and engagement
Content & Campaigns
- Help produce a range of marketing content, including email campaigns, newsletters, case studies and blogs
- Support the coordination and rollout of marketing campaigns across different channels
- Assist in keeping all marketing materials fresh, relevant, and on-brand
Website & Digital
- Upload and update content on the website, including news, events, and blog posts
- Regularly review pages to ensure information is accurate and current
Insights & Reporting
- Support with tracking marketing activity and basic reporting
- Help spot trends and opportunities to improve performance and reach

Sales Support
- Assist with creation of digital sales collateral
- Assist with preparing presentation documents
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in marketing (this could be a junior role, internship, or placement)
- A genuine interest in marketing and the events industry
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using social media platforms in a professional context
- Good organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Bonus Points If You Have
- A keen interest in photography and videography
- Experience of HubSpot, InDesign, Flodesk, WordPress
Other Details
- Flexibility to occasionally support events outside of normal working hours
- Full UK driving licence required
