Marketing Associate
Senior Community & Events Marketer
About the Role
We're looking for a marketer to work directly with our Marketing Lead and own how Lightdash makes an impact globally—through events, the community, and partnerships that drive growth.
This is a role where ownership is key—you’ll:
- Decide on conference participation, event formats, and in-house initiatives
- Build and grow a community of data practitioners (Slack, LinkedIn, events, dbt ecosystem)
- Turn ideas into action, from venue logistics to speaker coordination and social engagement
We’re open to early-career marketing talent with enough experience to hit the ground running.
What You’ll Work On
Events
- Own Lightdash’s growing events presence: Choose conferences, booths vs. talks vs. side events, and self-hosted initiatives
- Manage full event lifecycles: Venues, vendors, assets, speaker coordination, registrations, and on-site execution
- Expand meetup series: Fuel audience growth and engagement
Community
- Nurture Lightdash’s data practitioner community across platforms (Slack, LinkedIn, events, dbt)
- Actively manage relationships: Identify influential voices (lurkers to Advocates), find give-back opportunities, and turn members into evangelists
- Thought leadership: Curate and contribute to conversations that shape industry trends
Content
- Transform high-impact moments (launches, customer conversations, internal insights) into blog posts, write-ups, and social content
- Own marketing calendar execution: Ensure consistent, high-quality content production
- Weigh in on campaigns: Combine writing, social savvy, and strategic storytelling

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
