We're looking for a Marketing Associate (Content) to help tell the stories behind the founders, startups, and innovations shaping the future.
The Role
As a Marketing Associate (Content), you'll play a key role in building the 16VC brand through compelling content and digital marketing. You'll work closely with the investment team, venture studio, founders, and portfolio companies to create content that attracts entrepreneurs, investors, partners, and exceptional talent.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who loves storytelling, technology, startups, and venture capital.
What You'll Do
- Create engaging content for LinkedIn, X, newsletters, blogs, and the 16VC website.
- Write investment announcements, founder interviews, portfolio updates, and thought leadership articles.
- Develop content that showcases the work of our Venture Studio, Fellowship, and portfolio companies.
- Produce simple graphics, presentations, and short-form videos for social media.
- Manage the content calendar and coordinate content across marketing channels.
- Support the promotion of events, founder sessions, demo days, and community initiatives.
- Collaborate with founders to share product launches, milestones, and fundraising announcements.
- Monitor content performance and recommend improvements based on engagement and analytics.
- Research trends across AI, enterprise software, venture capital, and the startup ecosystem.
- Help ensure all content reflects the 16VC brand and mission.

What We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience creating content for LinkedIn and other social platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Comfortable using tools such as Canva, Figma, Notion, CapCut, Google Workspace, or similar.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects.
- A genuine interest in startups, venture capital, entrepreneurship, AI, and emerging technologies.

Nice to Have
- Experience at a startup, venture capital firm, accelerator, agency, or media company.
- Basic video editing and graphic design skills.
- Familiarity with SEO, email marketing, and analytics tools.
- Experience using AI tools to support content creation and research.
