About the Role

The Marketing Automation Manager leads advanced email marketing strategy, delivering measurable performance improvements across multiple business functions. This critical role develops and promotes innovative methodologies in specialised automation areas, defines strategic objectives, and ensures alignment with broader business goals.

Responsible for influencing stakeholders, collaborating with senior leadership, and optimising systems and processes at scale, this position thrives on technical expertise, analytical thinking, and operational problem-solving.


Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the development of new Email Marketing concepts and methodologies, ensuring continuous performance advancements.
  • Define clear objectives for the Email Marketing channel and ensure KPI-driven outcomes are met.
  • Influence stakeholders to adopt new operational practices, frameworks, and approaches.
  • Communicate with senior leadership on technical and strategic matters.
  • Anticipate operational needs and initiigate actionable improvements for efficiency and best-in-class performance.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee advanced demand funnel optimisation and performance measurement.
  • Lead improvements to email marketing operations, systems, processes, and tools across multiple business areas.
  • Guide enhancements to email marketing technology platforms and drive A/B testing strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Field Marketing and COE teams to ensure alignment.

Campaign & Technology Support

  • Lead on strategy, planning, execution, and reporting of campaign performance and optimisation.
  • Support the creation of a best-in-class Marketing Automation & Operations function.
  • Assist wider marketing teams in campaign creation, deployment, and execution.
  • Contribute to cross-functional business projects aimed at improving systems, processes, and enablement.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Technical Proficiency

  • Extensive experience in Email Marketing operations, including:
    • Developing first-in-class email journeys across all stages of the prospect funnel.
    • Building and optimising email workflows using platforms like HubSpot, Pardot.
  • Recognised technical and operational expertise in:
    • Marketing Technology (MarTech), performance frameworks, and automation workflows.
    • Cross-functional optimisation (multi-language, multi-product strategies).

  • Ability to analyse, design, and promote new methodologies for improved operational efficiency.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex projects with strong judgement.
