Marketing Business Partner

Description

Are you a commercially minded marketer who enjoys building strong relationships and influencing business growth? As a Marketing Business Partner, you'll work at the heart of the business, connecting regional priorities with the wider Sumer marketing strategy to deliver meaningful results. Partnering closely with hub leadership teams, local marketing colleagues, and Sumer Group stakeholders, you'll act as the bridge between local initiatives and the national marketing function, ensuring marketing activity is aligned, effective, and delivers measurable impact.

This is a varied and fast-paced role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You'll use your marketing expertise and stakeholder engagement skills to drive business growth, strengthen brand presence, support client acquisition, and ensure marketing activity across your region is both impactful and commercially focused.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Brand Development Develop and deliver regional marketing plans aligned to business objectives and the wider Sumer marketing strategy. Champion the brand, ensuring consistency across all communications and marketing activity. Partner with business leaders to identify growth opportunities and shape future marketing priorities. Campaigns & Lead Generation Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation. Support client acquisition, retention, and bid activity through targeted marketing initiatives and compelling content. Manage email marketing campaigns and provide clear performance reporting. Digital Marketing & Profile Raising Enhance the digital presence of the business through website, content, social media, and wider digital marketing activity. Increase brand visibility through PR, industry awards, events, and networking opportunities. Ensure a consistent and engaging brand presence across all channels. Stakeholder Engagement & Communications Act as a trusted marketing partner to regional leaders and service line teams. Lead internal communications activity, ensuring messaging is clear, engaging, and aligned to brand guidelines. Collaborate with colleagues, agencies, and external partners to deliver effective marketing outcomes. Performance & Continuous Improvement Track and report on marketing performance, using insights to optimise activity and demonstrate impact. Manage budgets effectively and identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency. Support the delivery of creative assets, marketing communications, and wider marketing projects as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Demonstrable experience of marketing, preferably within a professional services environment across multi-site locations Strong project management and organisational skills – able to juggle multiple initiatives and meet deadlines. A strong grasp of marketing strategy, campaign planning, and execution across digital and offline channels. A proactive and commercial mindset – always looking for ways to add value and contribute to growth Confidence working with senior stakeholders and the ability to influence all levels. Experience using data and insights to measure performance, demonstrate ROI, and optimise marketing activity. Experience managing marketing budgets and ensuring investment is aligned to business priorities. Familiarity with CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and wider marketing technology solutions.
