Marketing Co-ordinator Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic marketeer, eager to develop their career and broaden their experience.
They will be fully involved in the day-to-day operation of the business, working closely with all members of the management team. Responsibilities include:
- Coordination with third-party specialists such as the company’s marketing agency, videographers, and graphic designers
- Ability to produce marketing content independently
The ideal candidate should:
- Demonstrate an eagerness to work in a team to drive excellence across the full marketing mix
- Have the motivation to foster Penny Engineering’s continued growth
This is a full-time, permanent role, reporting to the Managing Director at our headquarters in Clowne, Chesterfield.
Key Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working closely with internal Division Heads and our external marketing agency
- Developing marketing strategy and planning using research
- Tracking marketing and sales data to create senior management reports
- Collaborating with the marketing agency to plan multi-channel campaigns
- Creating social media content
- Supporting and promoting promotional materials (e.g., catalogues, websites, adverts, and emails)
- Overseeing a departmental budget to ensure cost-effective plans
- Building and maintaining relationships with media types and agencies
- Copywriting, editing, and proofreading for a wide range of materials (PR, web, catalogue, email, and social media content)
- Coordinating company communications
- Managing PPC & SEO
- Writing awards submissions
- Compiling internal newsletters
- Managing trade shows and attending customer meetings

Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- 3-5 years’ experience (supportable evidence required)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using software including:
- Email campaign tools (Mail Chimp)
- Content management systems (WordPress or similar)
- Spreadsheets (Excel)
- Presentation tools (PowerPoint)
- Document creation (Word)
- Design software (Photoshop, InDesign)
- Marketing tools (Google Ads & Analytics)
- Strong presentation skills
- Commercial acumen
Desirable
- Marketing degree or CIM qualification
- Experience in manufacturing sector marketing
