We’re Blind Veterans UK, a charity that helps vision-impaired ex-service people from every generation rebuild their lives after their sight has been affected. Founded in 1915 by Sir Arthur Pearson to help the many veterans losing their sight during the First World War, we have over a century of experience providing the very best care and support.
Since then, we’ve supported tens of thousands of vision-impaired veterans, helping them regain their independence and providing the tools, skills and confidence they need to lead fulfilling, active lives.
We’re one transformational team that believes every vision-impaired veteran should be able to lead the life they choose.
We are now looking for a Marketing Co-ordinator to join our Legacy Fundraising Team on a full-time basis for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The Role
As a Marketing Co-ordinator, you will support the delivery of our Legacy and In Memory fundraising plans, helping drive supporter engagement and income generation through effective marketing, administration and supporter stewardship.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager – Legacies, you will co-ordinate campaigns, process supporter communications and gifts, maintain accurate records and help ensure every supporter receives a positive, professional and compassionate experience.
You will also support the delivery of online and offline marketing activity, promoting legacy giving and free Will writing services whilst working with colleagues and external suppliers to ensure campaigns and projects are delivered successfully.
Additionally, you will:
- Respond to supporter enquiries by phone, email and post
- Maintain accurate supporter records and engagement information
- Monitor invoices, income coding and expenditure records
- Create and maintain templates, procedures and administrative records
- Support research projects and wider team initiatives
- Ensure all activity complies with fundraising regulations, GDPR and internal processes
About You
To be considered as a Marketing Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Experience in an administrative, co-ordination, customer service, supporter care or similar role, ideally within fundraising
- Experience building positive relationships with customers, supporters or stakeholders
- An understanding of the importance of supporter care and stewardship
- Sensitivity and professionalism when communicating with supporters, including those who may have been recently bereaved
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- The ability to work proactively, use initiative and manage your workload effectively
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues across the wider team
