The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead Bristol Sport Foundation’s (BSF) marketing and communications strategy. You’ll be responsible for creating engaging content, growing our digital presence, showcasing the impact of our programmes and ensuring our brand is represented consistently across every platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of BSF’s marketing and communications strategy.
  • Manage and grow our social media channels across all platforms.
  • Plan and deliver engaging content that reflects our programmes and impact.
  • Create compelling written and visual content (videos, graphics, photography, and promotional materials).
  • Ensure all communications reflect our values, mission, and brand identity.
  • Produce case studies and impact stories from across our programmes.
  • Support funding bids and reports with marketing materials and evidence of impact.
  • Provide coverage of BSF corporate, community, fundraising, and inter-school events.
  • Monitor social media performance and identify opportunities to increase engagement.
  • Manage and update BSF's website and digital platforms.

The Key Requirements

  • Experience in a marketing, communications, or digital media role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging digital content.
  • Strong experience managing and updating websites.
  • Ability to produce high-quality photography and/or video content using a smartphone or camera.
  • Experience using design software such as Canva (or similar) to create professional marketing materials.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and use initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle to attend events and partner venues across Bristol and the surrounding area.
