Marketing Communications Manager
Based in Birmingham, Worcester, and Droitwich, Ballards is a progressive firm of chartered accountants helping businesses and private clients achieve stronger financial performance through integrated tax, audit, and consultancy expertise.
Due to business growth, we are looking for a Marketing Communications Manager to join us at our Worcester office and play a pivotal role in shaping how our brand is experienced both externally and internally. You will be responsible for delivering clear, compelling and consistent communications, and lead the development and execution of integrated marketing communications that support our marketing strategy and drive business growth.
Working closely with the Marketing Director, the wider marketing team and external agencies, you’ll help bring creative ideas to life and introduce new approaches as part of a newly forming team. You’ll collaborate across the business, building trusted relationships with stakeholders and translating business objectives into effective, audience-focused communications.
About the Role
- Developing and implementing integrated marketing communications strategies aligned with company goals
- Leading PR, sponsorship and events initiatives to build profile and reputation in key growth markets
- Creating and delivering a content-led client engagement programme to drive loyalty and advocacy
- Developing new internal communications channels and content to increase staff engagement
- Overseeing social media strategy and delivery in collaboration with digital and paid media teams
- Acting as a brand guardian, ensuring consistent voice, messaging and visual alignment
- Planning, writing, editing and managing content across digital, print, PR, social, email and sales materials
- Managing content calendars, workflows and approvals to ensure timely delivery
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Managing external agencies, freelancers and suppliers
- Measuring performance, reporting on results and optimising activity based on insights
- Ensuring compliance with brand, legal and regulatory standards

About You
- Proven experience in a marketing communications, brand or content-led role
- Strong expertise across PR, events, sponsorship, social media and content marketing
- Experience developing internal communications and engagement initiatives
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for tone, clarity and consistency
- A strong understanding of brand management and messaging frameworks
- Experience managing agencies and external partners
- The ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- A data-driven mindset, with experience using insights and metrics to refine communications
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- A proactive, ideas-led approach and a passion for storytelling
