Marketing and Communications Officer
Location: Bradford Cathedral Contract Type: Part-time (22.5 hours per week) Salary: £16,800 per annum
Role Overview
The Marketing & Communications Officer will lead and coordinate the Cathedral’s communications and marketing activities, playing a key role in:
- Strengthening public engagement
- Supporting the Cathedral’s mission and ministry
- Developing clear, confident, and consistent communications across:
- Digital channels
- Print materials
- Media presence
- Public engagement initiatives

Core Responsibilities
The role covers audience engagement across a broad spectrum of the Cathedral’s life, including but not limited to:
- Worshipping life
- Music
- Heritage
- Education
- Visitor experience
- Public events programme
Key duties include:
- Collaborating across multiple teams (clergy, music, operations, heritage, education, visitor experience, events) to ensure coherent and effective communications
- Delivering both hands-on communication tasks and strategic development activities
- Helping the Cathedral prioritise and strengthen its communications activity during a period of growth, increased public engagement, and organisational development
