Role Description
This volunteer, remote Marketing Communications Specialist role focuses on raising awareness of AK CareBridge’s mission and services. Day-to-day tasks include developing clear and engaging marketing messages, creating content for digital channels, drafting press releases, and supporting public relations activities to strengthen the organization’s reputation. The specialist will help plan and implement strategic communications campaigns, collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging, and monitor engagement to refine outreach efforts. This role is ideal for someone who wants to contribute communication expertise to a cause that supports vulnerable individuals and older adults.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Marketing Communications and Strategic Communications, with the ability to craft clear and compelling narratives.
- Excellent Communication skills, including writing and editing for different audiences and channels.
- Experience creating and managing Press Releases and supporting Public Relations initiatives.
- Comfort working remotely, with reliable internet access and strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and basic content management systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and demonstrate empathy for older adults and vulnerable individuals.
- Relevant education or experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is an advantage, but not mandatory for committed volunteers.
