Volunteer Marketing & Content Creator

Location: Remote/Hybrid Commitment: Flexible (Approx. 3-5 hours per week) Position Type: Volunteer
About One Ummah
One Ummah is a humanitarian aid charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities around the world through emergency relief, sustainable development projects, poverty alleviation, and community support initiatives.
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Volunteer Marketing & Content Creator to help share our mission, amplify our impact, and engage supporters through compelling digital content. This role is ideal for someone who wants to use their creative skills to support meaningful humanitarian work and inspire positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging content for social media, WhatsApp, and other relevant digital channels, with a focus on our recently launched community page on Instagram
- Design graphics, videos, and promotional materials using tools such as Canva, aligning with our branding guidelines and Islamic ethos
- Develop content that highlights:
- Charity projects
- Beneficiary stories
- Campaigns
- Events
- Assist with planning and scheduling social media content
- Help grow awareness of One Ummah’s work while increasing community engagement
- Support fundraising campaigns through creative marketing and storytelling
- Collaborate with volunteers and leadership teams to ensure messaging aligns with the charity’s values and objectives

Skills & Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm for digital content creation
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic design tools
- Experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, or content creation (beneficial but not essential)
- Passion for humanitarian aid and charitable work
