Marketing Data Analyst Apprentice
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Data Analyst Apprentice to join the Marketing Department at Vertu Motors plc, based at our Head Office in Gateshead.
Throughout this apprenticeship, you will specialise in data analytics, customer insight, reporting, visualisation and data-driven marketing, helping to support key marketing initiatives and improve customer engagement through meaningful analysis and insight.
Salary & Hours
- £8.00 per hour
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
Reporting into our Marketing Customer Data Lead, you will be supported by an experienced Marketing and Customer Data team and gain exposure to a range of business functions, providing a broad understanding of how data supports marketing strategy and customer experience across the business.
By combining academic study with practical work experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your analytical and technical skills whilst building a career in data and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in collecting and collating marketing and customer data from various sources, including CRM systems and digital platforms
- Support data cleansing, validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Analyse customer behaviour, segmentation patterns and campaign performance to identify trends and opportunities
- Assist in producing reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools such as Power BI
- Present data and insights in a clear and understandable way to support decision-making
- Work alongside the Marketing Customer Data Lead and wider business teams on data-driven marketing projects
- Support the development of customer journey and customer engagement initiatives
- Help maintain high standards of data governance and privacy compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the Marketing and Customer Data function
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies and best practices in analytics and data management

Essential Skills
We are looking for a motivated individual with a genuine interest in data and analytics. The following skills would be desirable:
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data in simple terms
- Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to organise and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Enthusiasm for learning new systems, tools and technologies

Qualifications Required
To apply for this apprenticeship, it is essential that you hold:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 5-9 (B-A)*
- Including Maths and English
