This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing department of an award-winning law firm which has its headquarters in Thame, Oxfordshire. This is a critical role within a small team, reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with other key individuals across the business. This role will suit someone who is proactive, organised, and enjoys the variety that comes with marketing in a professional services environment.
Marketing is one of the core support services at Lightfoots Solicitors. The successful candidate will be joining a small but friendly team and can expect a wide variety of work, with the opportunity for career development.
This is a part-time opportunity, requiring 3-4 full working days per week.
Key Responsibilities

Events & Sponsorship Coordination
- Plan and manage the logistics for firm-hosted events, seminars, and client receptions, as well as attendance at industry awards dinners and conferences
- Handle event setup including venue arrangements, signage, materials, catering and AV
- Act as on-site support during events, ensuring smooth running from setup to pack-down
- Support the delivery and visibility of local sponsorship commitments (e.g., attending community events, coordinating branding presence)
- Maintain a calendar of events and sponsorships

Marketing Team Support
- Maintain and update marketing collateral (e.g., brochures, profiles)
- Plan, create, and schedule content across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Assist with digital marketing activities with the opportunity for training (website, social media, email marketing, Sharepoint, SEO, CRM etc)
- Contribute to award nominations, legal directory submissions, press releases, and community communications
- Work on business development support materials as needed
- Provide day-to-day support as needed
- Be proactive in learning about the legal services and market to enhance your role

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in events and marketing essential
- Excellent attention to detail, written and communication skills
- Experience in Canva and Sharepoint
- Ability to work independently and as a team member and build lasting working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Organised, proactive and confident in managing multiple priorities
- Comfortable and confident being public/ client-facing during events and sponsorships
- Flexibility and ability to attend early/ late events as needed
- Willing to roll up sleeves and take ownership of practical tasks
- Interest in developing a long-term marketing career in professional services
