The Role
This is an exciting and varied role at the heart of EMA's growing marketing department. The Marketing and Events Executive will play a key part in delivering EMA's marketing and events strategy, taking ownership of the organisation's full events programme, leading on schools and community outreach activity across the East Midlands and supporting the Content and Campaigns Manager in delivering the marketing output that drives EMA's commercial ambitions.
Reporting to the Content and Campaigns Manager, this role sits within a high energy, data-led commercial and marketing team that is focused on growth, collaboration and making a genuine difference to East Midlands businesses and learners.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Executive Support
- Providing hands-on support to the Content and Campaigns Manager across the full range of marketing activity, helping to deliver a consistent, high-quality output across all channels:
- Creating engaging content for social media channels including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook - including captions, graphics, short-form video and reels
- Designing branded graphics and visual assets using Canva or similar tools, including campaign materials, flyers, posters and promotional literature for both digital and print use
- Supporting the planning and management of the content calendar - coordinating content around campaigns, events, awareness moments and key business priorities
- Assisting with the scheduling and publishing of social content using relevant scheduling tools
- Supporting the delivery of quarterly marketing campaigns across all channels, translating campaign objectives into practical content and deliverables
- Contributing to blogs, articles, newsletters and e-shot content as required
- Assisting with video content - including supporting the filming and editing of apprentice stories, employer features, candidate testimonials and day-in-the-life content
- Monitoring performance data across all relevant marketing output - including social media, email campaigns, newsletters and e-shots - and flagging insights to the Content and Campaigns Manager to inform future decisions
- Work collaboratively with the Commercial team to create engaging content that resonates with our employers, supports every stage of their journey with EMA, and contributes to business growth.
- Acting as a visible and positive ambassador for EMA Training, including through professional engagement on LinkedIn

Events Management
- Taking full ownership of EMA's events programme, from planning through to delivery and post-event follow-up. This includes:
- Lead organiser for Love Business Expo - EMA's flagship annual event, attracting 700+ delegates and 200+ VIPs to Holywell Park, Loughborough. This is one of the most significant business events in the East Midlands and requires meticulous planning, stakeholder management and on-the-day coordination
- Planning, promoting and delivering EMA's own networking events throughout the year
- Managing EMA's presence at external exhibitions, careers fairs and sector events - including stand design, logistics and team briefing
- Maintaining an annual events calendar and ensuring all events are delivered on time, on brief and within budget
- Capturing all event contacts in Zoho CRM and supporting the commercial team with post-event follow-up
Schools and Community Outreach
- Building and managing EMA's schools and community presence across the East Midlands:
- Developing and delivering an outreach programme to East Midlands secondary schools and sixth forms - including assembly presentations, careers fairs, teacher engagement and curriculum influence
- Building relationships with careers advisors, heads of year and school leadership teams
- Representing EMA at community events, charity partnerships and regional networks
- Supporting EMA's community referral partnership programme - working with local charities and organisations to raise awareness of apprenticeship opportunities
- Positioning EMA as the go-to apprenticeship resource for East Midlands students, parents and educators

What We Are Looking For
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a marketing executive role or similar
- Proven experience in events management - from planning through to delivery
- Confident presenter and communicator, comfortable speaking to all stakeholders and groups of all sizes
- Proficient in Canva and social media management tools
- Experience of working with CRM systems (Zoho experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- First class writing and communication skills

What We Offer
- A salary of £26,000 to £30,000 dependent on experience
