About Us
Forage Farm Shop & Kitchen is located on the Penllyn Estate, Cowbridge, CF71 7FF. The estate has been farmed by the Homfray family since 1846 and is now home to a diverse range of businesses with agriculture remaining at its core. Under the family-run partnership, Forage Farm Shop & Kitchen was opened in 2020. The enterprise is nimble, collaborative and innovative and the serial award-winning farm shop has become a destination for people to enjoy outstanding quality Welsh food and drink.

Forage Farm Shop & Kitchen (Forage) is situated on the Penllyn Estate near Cowbridge, in the heart of Vale of Glamorgan. It has a spacious, 85-cover restaurant that serves high quality, fresh food using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The farm shop boasts an outstanding butchery counter predominantly stocked with Estate-produced meat, locally sourced vegetables (a proportion of which are grown on the Estate), other Estate produce (honey, rapeseed oil and eggs) and a broad range of other high quality Welsh goods.
Since opening in June 2020, Forage has quickly established itself as a popular destination, renowned for providing Welsh produce of the highest quality. The unique blend of delicious, authentic food, served in a relaxed atmosphere against a backdrop of the Thaw Valley, has resulted in a large and loyal customer base. The extensive outdoor space and excellent playground is popular with young families, many of who enjoy coming to Forage events, year-round. Family-owned, the business has a strong ethos, with core values of community, sustainability and quality. Over the last five years, growth has exceeded all expectations.

The Role
This exciting opportunity is to work as part of a small team, assisting the Marketing Director and Events and Marketing Manager in promoting Forage Farm Shop & Kitchen and leading strategic campaigns.
- Support the development and implementation of the marketing strategy
- Creation of marketing planning documents and support its delivery
- Campaign development promoting all departments – restaurant, shop, butchery and events
- Data analytics (track and report on marketing campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvements – weekly and annual tracking across all digital platforms (including GA4 analytics desirable)
- Manage and implement email marketing campaigns (using Mailer Lite)
- Meta Ads – creation of campaigns, define goals, creation of target audiences, implementation, analysis of performance, drive sales and traffic, manage budget
- Relationship Management – work with suppliers to gain content on new products and develop relationships with relevant influencers
- Influencer Marketing - set clear campaign objectives and define the target audience. Source and vet relevant creators, negotiate agreement, communicate clear content brief, and analyse performance metrics to calculate the return on investment
- Manage the loyalty scheme (managing rewards, campaigns and promotions via app and instore device)
- Customer satisfaction survey creation (Google Forms)
- Collaborate with team heads to gain product knowledge and content
- Content creation (Canva)
- Support blog post creation to support wider marketing strategy
- Coordinate and communicate with our graphic design and website updates manager (freelancer) to create impressive, on brand marketing materials
- Assist with in-store marketing materials
- Use market research and customer insights to inform strategy
- Joining the team to assist in activities as required

- Graphic Design and Webpage development

The successful candidate will have:
- A strong academic track record, preferably with qualifications in marketing
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, with an eye for detail
- The ability to get on with the job and able to come up with fun and engaging content across all platforms
- Some experience with digital marketing and digital emailing platforms essential
- Understanding of Meta Ads essential
- Solid digital marketing experience working across multiple channels
- A hands-on, proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to learn
- An entrepreneurial spirit and excellent interpersonal / communication skills, with the ability to work in a team
- Outstanding organisation skills with an ability to juggle multiple requirements and projects
Salary
£25,000.00- £28,000 per year pro rata, commensurate with experience, 24 hours per week.
