Marketing Assistant (Group Role – Based in Newport, Isle of Wight)

Are you a creative, proactive marketing professional ready to take the next step in your career? Join the Cherry Godfrey Group’s friendly and dynamic marketing team, where you’ll help shape the brand across Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, and Southampton. We’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, organised, and full of ideas - someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys seeing projects come to life.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of our group marketing team, you’ll work closely with the Group Head of Marketing and Communications to plan and deliver a wide range of exciting marketing initiatives - from event coordination to digital campaign creation.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Coordinating events across all our locations, including everything from investor events and retail partner launches to our renowned Cherry Godfrey Summer Party and community and charity events.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Creating engaging content for our social media, website, and internal communications.
  • Helping to develop marketing materials and collateral that bring our brand to life.
  • Collaborating with teams across the business to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging and branding.
  • Providing organisational and administrative support to keep the marketing plan running smoothly and efficiently across all islands.

Some travel to our other island offices will be required, but your main base will be Guernsey.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who’s already gained a few years of marketing experience, whether that’s in a full marketing mix role or a more specialist area and is ready to broaden their skills in a growing, supportive environment.

You’ll need to be:

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Creative and proactive, bringing fresh ideas to the table and seeing them through to delivery.
  • Confident coordinating events, from managing suppliers and venues to ensuring everything runs seamlessly on the day.
  • A clear communicator both written and verbal who can work with everyone from colleagues to senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable using a range of tools and platforms, from Microsoft Office to social media and marketing analytics.

The role will require regular travel to our other offices which will include overnight stays each month.

Experience in financial services or professional services would be an advantage, but it’s not essential - what matters most is your enthusiasm, drive, and passion for marketing.
