About the Role
As Marketing Officer (Future Students), you will join the Science and Engineering Future Students Marketing team. Collaborating closely with academic and professional teams across the University, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, engaging marketing campaigns that drive targeted, insight-led student recruitment in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
This position offers the opportunity to:
- Develop delivery-focused marketing expertise
- Contribute across the entire student recruitment journey
- Support key projects, campaigns, and events to help prospective students make informed choices about their future at Manchester Met.
Your Responsibilities
Audience & Content Strategy
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical marketing activity aligned with Future Students’ marketing objectives.
- Manage a portfolio of subject areas, crafting a rolling programme of high-quality, audience-focused content.
- Ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant content across all platforms, both digital and offline.

Campaign & Event Management
- Lead integrated campaigns, projects, and recruitment events through multiple channels.
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of recruitment events, including Open Days, conversion workshops, and prospect events.
- Collaborate with Faculities and internal stakeholders to align activities with subject-specific priorities.
Insight & Analytics-Driven Decision Making
- Utilise data, insights, and performance metrics to refine campaigns and measure outcomes.
- Inform strategies with evidence to maximise recruitment impact.
Relationship & Compliance Leadership
- Act as a brand champion, ensuring all activity adheres to brand, accessibility, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain stakeholder communications, delivering timely and efficient responses.
- Manage content systems to ensure smooth workflows and high-quality outputs.
Your Profile
We’re seeking a proactive, innovative marketing professional with experience in:
- Campaign planning and execution across integrated channels
- Event coordination, particularly high-profile recruitment activities (e.g., Open Days)
- Copywriting and content production (digital and print)
- Multi-tasking and stakeholder management
- CMS, digital marketing tools, and performance analysis
- A collaborative approach to working with academic and operational teams
