MCL Medics | Southport | Salary negotiable | Part time, days to suit, agreed with you | Office based
If your idea of marketing is a beautifully written plan, this is not your job. If your idea of marketing is income you can point to, keep reading.
THE ROLE
We are MCL Medics, a UK-wide provider of occupational health, remote medical and employee assistance services. We are creating our first dedicated marketing role, part time, reporting straight to the Chief Executive, and it comes with one clear test: the income your work generates.
You will own the lot: the sales pipeline in HubSpot, campaigns that put us in front of named organisations, the content that gets us found in search engines and AI search tools, our social channels and paid LinkedIn, our advertising, our Trustpilot reviews, our monthly wellbeing bulletin, our communications inside the business and out, and award entries across the energy sector and beyond. You will chair our fortnightly lead conversion meeting and report monthly on what your work brought in against what you cost. If that sentence excites you rather than scares you, you are who we are looking for.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own the pipeline in HubSpot: log every enquiry, track it through to won business, and chair our fortnightly lead generation and conversion meeting with the commercial team.
- Build B2B campaigns aimed at chosen sectors and named organisations, and keep a win/loss record of every proposal so we learn what converts.
- Write website content that performs in search engines and AI search tools, and turns visits into enquiries.
- Run our advertising across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and paid LinkedIn targeted at HR decision makers, and make the budget work harder.
- Own our social channels and accounts, our monthly wellbeing bulletin through Mailjet, and a mailing list where no client is ever missed.
- Drive our Trustpilot reviews with the delivery team, and turn onsite photography from client sites into social posts and website news.
- Find upsell opportunities in our current client base with our contract managers, and add the good news story to every client's quarterly review.
- Turn our wellbeing work and social value commitments into PR, and enter us for awards we can win, in energy and beyond.
- Keep our communications sharp, inside the business and out.
