About Us
Age Care Bathrooms is a family-run business born from personal experience. When Sam, our director's own grandparents needed their homes adapted to cope with illness and reduced mobility, he saw how badly the industry treated vulnerable people, and built a company to do the opposite. That story still shapes everything we do, including our marketing.
We speak to older people and their families at what is often a worrying time in their lives. Our marketing is honest, warm and never pushy. No scare tactics, no false urgency, no hard sell. If that approach appeals to you, you'll fit right in.
About the Role
We're looking for a proactive and creative Marketing Executive with a specialism in video editing to join our in-house team in Staveley, Chesterfield. This is an exciting opportunity to work across four well-established and growing brands:
- Age Care Bathrooms - specialists in accessible and mobility-friendly bathroom installations
- Age Care Maintenance - a subscription-based home maintenance service for over-55s
- Town & Country Merchants - a trusted local supplier of plumbing and heating materials
- Age Care Pro - bathroom adaptations for care homes, councils and care professionals
Video will be a big part of this role. You'll edit and publish content for YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, from customer stories and installation walkthroughs to helpful advice videos.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
We currently have someone in the team who films our videos, so you won't be expected to pick up a camera from day one. That said, if filming is something you'd be interested in, that would be a real bonus, as there's a genuine opportunity to take over filming in time. We shoot on Sony ecosystem cameras, both on location and in our DIY studios.
We're equally keen to find someone with ideas of their own: someone who can spot a content opportunity, suggest a new social strategy, and help us stand out in a sector that often plays it safe.
This is a full-time, office-based role offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to grow your marketing career in a creative and supportive team.
What You'll Be Doing
Video & Social Media
- Edit both long & short-form video content in Adobe Premiere Pro for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook as well as our websites.
- Film short-form & long-form content on smartphone & DSLR’s.
- Develop and pitch new social media ideas and content strategies across all four brands.
- Create and schedule social content that is warm, human and helpful first, promotional rarely.
- Monitor performance and adapt what we make based on what actually works.
Email Marketing & Newsletters
- Draft and design weekly email campaigns in HubSpot.
- Ensure messages are on-brand, visually clean, and targeted to each customer group.
- Monitor engagement and suggest improvements based on results.
Campaign Support (Mostly Print & Direct Mail)
- Assist in the planning and delivery of direct mail, press ads, outdoor banners, and radio promotions as needed.
- Work with suppliers and creatives to ensure materials are delivered on time and on budget.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a marketing or content role.
- Confident editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Ideas of your own. We want someone who brings suggestions to the table, not just someone who executes a brief.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- The judgement to write for an older audience with warmth and respect.
- Working knowledge of SEO principles and digital content.
- Experience using WordPress to create and manage website content.
- Experience creating and scheduling social media content for business.
- Comfortable filming short videos on a smartphone.
- Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
- Well-organised and able to manage multiple deadlines across different brands.

Desirable
- If you do not have experience in any of these areas, training will be provided.
- Experience filming with Sony cameras (or similar mirrorless/DSLR kit) and an interest in taking on more filming over time.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for local filming & install visits).
- After Effects, motion graphics or animation skills.
- Experience with HubSpot (email marketing and CRM).
- Comfortable using tools like Asana for task tracking and planning.
- A general understanding of paid media (Meta, Google, Bing).
- An eye for accessible design. Many of our customers have reduced vision, so clear, legible content matters to us.
A note on our customers
Some filming takes place in real customers' homes, often with older or vulnerable people. We take consent and conduct seriously, and you'll be expected to as well. A DBS check may be required for this role, paid for by Age Care.
