About Britain's Got Startups

Britain's Got Startups is the UK's leading regional startup and scale-up showcase series, connecting the country's most promising founders with active investors.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Lead to own our brand presence and content output across all channels. This role could be part-time or full-time and is for someone who genuinely loves the startup world and wants to help tell the stories of the founders building the future. You will be responsible for our social media, website and content strategy between events. On event days we have a separate media production team so this role is focused on the day-to-day marketing engine that keeps BGS visible, engaging and growing.

What You Will Do

  • Own and manage all BGS social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, TikTok) with a consistent posting schedule
  • Develop and execute a content strategy that showcases our founders, investors, partners and events
  • Create engaging written and visual content including posts, reels, carousels, short-form video and newsletters
  • Manage and update the BGS website with event information, founder profiles, news and partner content
  • Repurpose event day footage and photography (captured by our media team) into ongoing social and web content
  • Build and grow our email marketing and community engagement
  • Track performance metrics and provide regular reporting on reach, engagement and growth
  • Coordinate with the founder, event team and series partners to align messaging and campaigns
  • Support the production of marketing collateral for sponsorship and partnership decks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
