Marketing Lead
Westhill, Aberdeenshire with hybrid working
Full-time, Permanent

The Role
As a communications and engagement specialist, you will be instrumental in driving JFD’s Defence marketing agenda, leading the delivery of impactful communications activities that strengthen brand awareness, support business growth, and showcase our industry-leading capabilities. Collaborating with the Head of Marketing – JFD and key stakeholders across Sales, Business Development, Bids, and Group Communications & Marketing, you will ensure a cohesive, strategic approach that positions JFD at the forefront of the defence sector.
What you'll be doing
- Support the Head of Marketing – JFD in delivering the portfolio marketing and communications plan in line with Defence Division priorities.
- Develop and deliver targeted B2B marketing campaigns with Sales, Business Development, Bids and the Central Marketing Team.
- Use market intelligence and customer insights to drive effective marketing activity and customer engagement across global markets.
- Deliver aligned internal and external communications that support business objectives and brand awareness.
- Monitor and report on marketing performance, measuring impact, ROI and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage portfolio marketing budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and value for money.
- Lead the delivery of trade shows, events and customer engagement activities, with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Work as a part of the JFD team and play a key role in communicating the transformation story of James Fisher both externally and internally.

What we're looking for
- Experience in a marketing or communications role, delivering campaigns and engaging a variety of stakeholders across multiple channels.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and build effective relationships.
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, with experience managing budgets and measuring marketing effectiveness.
- Experience in product launches and/or knowledge of the defence sector would be advantageous, alongside a commitment to safety in everything you do.
