About The Role

Help shape the next generation of marketing professionals.

We believe great marketing starts with communication and understanding people. That's why we're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, sharing ideas and helping young people discover what they're capable of.

As a Lecturer of Marketing at EKC Folkestone College, you'll be joining a friendly, ambitious team that's building something exciting.

Our Marketing provision sits within our Creative and Business Department, alongside Architecture, Interior & Urban Design, Fashion Design & Marketing, Games Design, Virtual Production and Creative Media. Being part of this wider creative community creates fantastic opportunities for students to work together on live projects, collaborate across different disciplines and experience how creative industries work in the real world.

During your first year, you'll teach on our T Level in Business Administration (Leadership and Management pathway), before playing a leading role in the development of our new Level 3 T Level in Marketing and a new Level 2 in Marketing.

T Levels provide students with a rich and challenging curriculum, giving them a strong understanding of the knowledge, concepts and theories that underpin modern business and marketing. The exciting part of this role is bringing that learning to life. We're looking for someone who enjoys taking complex ideas and turning them into meaningful, engaging experiences through live briefs, employer projects, campaigns, problem-solving activities and collaborative work with local businesses and organisations.

Rather than relying on traditional lecture-based teaching, you'll have the opportunity to create learning that feels authentic, relevant and connected to industry. You'll encourage students to apply theory to real situations, develop creative solutions, work with clients, present ideas and gain the confidence and professional skills they'll need for successful careers in marketing and business.

This is an opportunity to help build an innovative Marketing curriculum from the ground up. You'll have the freedom to develop exciting projects, establish employer partnerships and shape a programme that reflects the fast-moving world of modern marketing while inspiring the next generation of marketing professionals.

More than anything, we're looking for someone who enjoys working with young people. Someone who wants to share their industry experience, bring fresh ideas into the classroom and help students understand what a career in marketing can really look like.

Alongside marketing knowledge, you'll help students develop the confidence, communication, creativity and professional skills employers value most. We want every student to leave college ready to progress into employment, apprenticeships or higher education with the skills and mindset to succeed.

Whether your background is in marketing, branding, digital campaigns, communications, social media, events or customer engagement, you'll have the opportunity to bring your professional experience into the classroom and help create learning that feels current, practical and genuinely inspiring.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
