About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Marketing Manager for our client based in Colchester. You will own the full marketing function: strategy, lead generation, digital, content, brand, and reporting, as the senior in-house marketing resource. This is a hands-on management role: the right candidate will be equally comfortable setting the strategy and executing it personally. The role is responsible for driving a consistent flow of qualified sales leads to the sales team, managing the company's digital presence, and overseeing all external creative and agency resources.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B lead generation
  • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Apollo, and Expandi or similar outbound marketing platforms
  • Strong understanding of HubSpot CRM, including workflow automation, sequences, pipeline reporting, and contact management
  • Proficiency in managing paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and LinkedIn Ads
  • Experience with WordPress for content management and website updates
  • Solid grasp of Google Analytics 4 for data analysis
  • Knowledge of social media scheduling tools, such as Hootsuite
  • Experience managing both organic and paid social media campaigns
  • Preferred: Marketing degree or CIM qualification
  • B2B sector experience
  • History of working alongside sales teams focused on lead generation

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the annual marketing strategy and tactical plan, ensuring alignment with company revenue and sales targets
  • Generate sales leads through email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, CRM automation, and digital marketing initiatives
  • Manage HubSpot including CRM functions, reporting, workflows, email campaigns, and lead tracking to ensure seamless lead nurturing and conversion
  • Run paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads, and LinkedIn Ads, optimizing for maximum ROI
  • Oversee website management, SEO strategies, and content marketing efforts through WordPress platform
  • Manage social media channels, maintaining an active online presence and engaging with the audience effectively
  • Coordinate with external agencies and freelancers for creative services such as design, photography, video production, and marketing collateral development
  • Plan and execute trade shows and events from inception to completion, ensuring brand consistency and lead capture
  • Produce and manage marketing collateral including brochures, catalogues, case studies, and newsletters to support sales and branding initiatives
  • Support product launches and new business initiatives with targeted marketing campaigns and promotional activities
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI), providing detailed reports directly to the Managing Director
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, and supervise future marketing staff as the team expands
