Purpose of Role
The Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering the company’s marketing and communications activities, supporting business development objectives and maintaining a strong and consistent brand presence across the business.
Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders, the role is responsible for overseeing marketing plans, managing integrated campaigns, overseeing day-to-day marketing operations and line managing the Marketing Coordinator to ensure high-quality delivery across all marketing activity.
Key Responsibilities
Main duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Campaign Management
- Deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, PR, events, internal communications and social media in line with business objectives.
- Coordinate campaign activity from planning through to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the company’s website, social media channels and email marketing activity.
- Support the Marketing Coordinator with digital content planning while reviewing performance and identifying opportunities to improve engagement.
- Manage the delivery of networking events, careers fairs and client events, ensuring they are delivered professionally and support business objectives.
- Work collaboratively with HR to Support recruitment campaigns and promote Watts as an employer of choice.
- Work closely with internal business teams nationally to produce high-quality marketing collateral and campaign materials for business development.
- Support bid activity and sector marketing campaigns as required.
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements based on data and insights.
- Produce regular reports on marketing activity, campaign performance and engagement metrics.

Brand, Content & Communications Management
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing communications, publications and digital platforms.
- Ensure marketing materials accurately reflect the company’s values, expertise and brand guidelines.
- Support initiatives that strengthen brand awareness and profile within the property and construction sector.
- Lead the creation of engaging marketing content including case studies, newsletters, articles, company presentations, award submissions, project updates and thought leadership.
- Review and approve content produced by the Marketing Coordinator.
Team & Supplier Management
- Manage one direct report (Marketing Coordinator), providing day-to-day support, mentoring, feedback and workload management to ensure the effective delivery of marketing activity.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, agencies and freelancers to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and represent value for money.
- Review outputs and ensure marketing activity is delivered to a consistently high standard.

Compliance
- Ensure all marketing activity and communications comply with GDPR, advertising standards and company brand guidelines.
Key Attributes
- 5+ years’ experience in a Marketing Manager or equivalent marketing role.
- Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong copywriting and content creation experience.
- Experience producing marketing collateral and client-facing communications.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing external suppliers and multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience line managing or mentoring team members.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
In addition, you will:
- Be proactive, organised and self-motivated.
- Be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Produce consistently high-quality work with excellent attention to detail.
- Build positive relationships with colleagues across the business.
- Be collaborative, adaptable and willing to support changing business priorities.
