Marketing Manager
A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a talented and detail-driven Marketing Manager to join the Communications Team at The Birley Clubs.
We’re looking for someone who combines creative flair with strategic thinking, who understands the power of well-crafted messaging and knows how to connect with an audience through elegant, engaging communications. This is a key role for a luxury marketing all-rounder with a particular passion for copy and content.
This role will manage member communications on various platforms including email newsletters and the soon to launch Annabel’s app. You will oversee the communications calendar for the clubs and be responsible for shaping how each of our clubs speaks to its members, ensuring our communications are always clear, considered and beautifully written.
The Birley Clubs are home to some of the world’s most iconic private members’ clubs: Annabel’s, Mark’s Club, George, Harry’s Bar and Bath & Racquets Club. Each club has its own distinct personality, and this role is central to preserving and communicating those identities across all member touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Member Communications
- Own the end-to-end member newsletter process across the clubs, from build to send, ensuring they are engaging, on-brand and tailored to each club’s unique tone of voice.
- Work with our content team to select imagery for the newsletters, ensuring the content reflects the messaging of the respective club.
- Write and edit all member-facing communications, including newsletters, app updates, event invitations and operational announcements.
- Proofread and fact-check all communications and marketing collateral to maintain impeccable standards of accuracy, tone and grammar.
- Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to optimise how communications are delivered via the app and email platforms.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
