Location: Ross on Wye
HSL Compliance is searching for a dynamic Marketing Manager to spearhead our brand from our Ross-on-Wye HQ. We are a top-tier UK compliance specialist, trusted to keep local authorities, housing associations, and major industrial sectors safe and fully compliant.
This is a high-visibility role combining big-picture strategy with hands-on delivery. Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and working alongside divisional Managing Directors, you will shape group-wide positioning, drive B2B customer acquisition, and directly fuel our commercial expansion.
As our ultimate brand guardian, you will own internal and external communications, launch multi-channel campaigns, manage external agencies, and establish a market-leading thought leadership programme.
Main Responsibilities:
Devise and implement an integrated marketing and communications plan that strengthens brand positioning and supports group-wide commercial objectives. Build, own, and expand a structured thought leadership programme, creating highly engaging, technical content across digital, social media, and offline channels. Work closely with external agencies to continuously optimise campaigns, boost inbound lead generation, and drive high-margin B2B customer acquisition. Lead and support promotional events, corporate trade shows, and industry exhibitions, ensuring the seamless delivery of marketing materials and assets. Measure, evaluate, and report on marketing KPIs and campaign outcomes to continuously increase the efficiency and ROI of our marketing spend. Present ideas, strategies, and budgets to internal teams, while actively supporting the Senior Leadership Team by participating in monthly group Executive management meetings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
