Marketing Manager – Marketing Week & Performance Marketing World

About the Role

Working within Marketing Week & Performance Marketing World, we are leading B2B brands in the marketing industry, offering professionals insight, analysis, and intelligence to drive global marketing strategy.

The role focuses on driving subscription growth, audience acquisition, and engagement across both brands. The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing data-driven, multi-channel marketing strategies aligned with commercial objectives. Collaborating closely with editorial, sales, and marketing teams, this role ensures seamless integration of audience growth with commercial performance while enhancing subscriber acquisition, retention, and long-term revenue success.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver integrated B2B marketing strategies to drive subscription growth, acquisition, and revenue performance across both brands.
  • Design and manage multi-channel campaigns—including email, paid media, social, and content—to increase brand visibility, audience engagement, and lead generation.
  • Develop and optimise lead nurturing programmes to convert prospects into subscribers and sales pipeline opportunities.
  • Analyse audience, customer, and campaign data to identify growth opportunities and optimise conversion performance across the marketing funnel.
  • Utilise first-party data, segmentation, and customer insights to improve targeting, personalisation, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Continuously review and optimise the end-to-end customer journey from acquisition through to retention and renewal.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to monitor lead quality, pipeline performance, and conversion outcomes.
  • Coordinate and support B2B events, webinars, and marketing activations to drive audience growth.
  • Define and track marketing KPIs, objectives, and budgets in collaboration with leadership.
  • Produce regular reporting and insight-led recommendations to support decision-making and improve marketing performance.

Key Relationships

The role requires close collaboration with:

  • Internal teams: Editorial, Sales, Product, Data, and Marketing
  • External partners: Agencies and suppliers to ensure effective campaign execution and performance optimisation

Skills, Experience & Knowledge

Required Knowledge

  • B2B marketing principles, including subscription, membership, or lead generation models
  • Digital marketing channels (email, paid media, social, content marketing)
  • Customer lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and audience engagement strategies
  • CRM and marketing automation systems
  • Data-led marketing approaches and performance measurement techniques

Required Skills

  • Analytical & commercial thinking, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management across diverse teams
  • Excellent organisational & project management for managing multiple campaigns and priorities
  • Ability to build data-driven marketing strategies based on audience insights and business objectives
  • Proficiency in marketing systems, CRM platforms, and digital reporting
  • Collaborative work ethic with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams

Required Experience

  • B2B marketing background, preferably in media, subscriptions, SaaS, membership, or professional services industries
  • Experience developing multi-channel campaigns focused on acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth
  • Familiarity with customer data, segmentation, and performance analytics
  • Collaboration with sales/commercial teams to support pipeline and revenue objectives
  • Experience managing projects in fast-paced, target-driven environments
