Role responsibilities

  • Develop outstanding, creative marketing strategies for an event portfolio, taking full bottom-line marketing responsibility for each event.
  • Work across a range of channels, including email marketing, social media, SEO, and PPC, to identify new prospects and build brand awareness.
  • Build and manage long-term, effective partnerships with leading associations, publications, and influencers globally.
  • Proactively nurture prospects and past customers to grow revenue and deliver against targets.
  • Write compelling, informative copy across the full event lifecycle, testing new ways to engage key audiences and reporting on results.
  • Build close working relationships with expert speakers and sponsors to secure their buy-in and promote events through their networks.
  • Review the impact of marketing campaigns and activities, using data to identify future opportunities and challenges.

Candidate background

  • 3-4+ years' marketing experience, ideally gained within B2B publishing, conferences, events, exhibitions, or a membership organization.
  • Proven track record managing marketing campaigns across email, social media, stakeholder engagement, media partners, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communicator and team player, able to connect ideas and outcomes while working effectively across departments and seniority levels.
  • Excellent copywriting skills across a variety of mediums that engage audiences and drive event attendance.
  • Data-driven and commercial mindset, with experience managing marketing budgets and delivering ROI.
  • Able to work independently, manage tight deadlines, and travel internationally when required.
