Marketing Manager
£40,000 - £45,000 Base + Bonus Hybrid - London
About the Role
A leading media events business is seeking a highly accomplished Events Marketing Manager to join their fast-growing events team, working across a portfolio of high-growth b2b events.
As the Marketing Manager, you will have full bottom-line responsibility for creating and executing innovative, international marketing plans, leveraging both online and offline direct marketing tactics.
Focused on demand generation and driving leads along the sales funnel, you will collaborate with the Marketing Director, Managing Director, and Delegates Sales team to optimise attendee marketing strategies across the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute targeted attendee marketing strategies, aiming to scale premium and free visitor registrations while driving attendance
- Build strong working relationships with exhibitor clients to develop extended marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives
- Establish mutually beneficial marketing partnerships with associations and publications to increase visitor attendance
- Utilise a full spectrum of online marketing tactics, including:
- Social media management
- SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)
- PPC (Pay-Per-Click advertising)
- Nurture customer engagement, progressing them up the advocacy ladder via tailored marketing messaging and commercial strategy awareness
- Prepare all promotional copy and collateral for internal and external use
- Achieve agreed targets for:
- Direct revenue generation
- Registration numbers
- Lead generation
- Manage the event marketing budget closely to ensure cost-effective execution

Profile of Experience
- 2+ years of event marketing experience, ideally within the events/exhibition industry
- Commercial mindset: Proven track record in driving leads, footfall, conversion, and ROI
- Strong expertise in digital marketing, including:
- SEO & SEM
- Social media strategy & management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative problem-solving ability, precision in detail, and analytical inclination
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Self-driven, results-oriented, with a proactive and positive attitude
