Marketing Manager (Matchday)

Matchday Marketing Manager – Permanent, Full-Time (Manchester)

City Football Group is seeking a Matchday Marketing Manager to drive integrated campaigns that enhance fan engagement, event attendance, and commercial performance across matchdays, concerts, and major stadium events at the Etihad Campus.

Working within a globally expanding football business, you’ll shape marketing strategies that connect audiences with a compelling, seamless matchday experience while meeting commercial goals—from tickets to hospitality, memberships, food & beverage, and related activations.

About the Role

This full-time permanent position will give you the opportunity to:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver high-impact campaigns that boost attendance, engagement, and revenue.
  • Lead marketing efforts across football fixtures, concerts, and major events, ensuring consistent brand presentation.
  • Collaborate across digital, CRM, social media, web, paid media, and activations to drive unified messaging.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Content, Social, CRM, Data, Commercial, Operations, etc.) and external partners to align campaigns with operational and commercial objectives.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve audience experiences.
  • Champion a fan-first approach that delivers memorable, connected, and accessible event experiences.

The Team

As part of City Football Group (CFG), you’ll be embedded in the Matchday and Major Stadium Events Marketing team.

Who we are:

  • CFG is the world’s leading private owner and operator of football clubs, spanning Manchester City FC, Melbourne City, New York City FC, and Amsterdam FC, with a shared purpose of empowering better lives through football.
  • Beyond football, we invest in sports businesses and partnerships — developing communities and the broader game globally from our more-than-century-old legacy of City football.
  • Our Manchester-centric impact includes local community programmes, stadium activations, and fan experiences—all underpinned by the Etihad Campus.

From football games to iconic concerts and major events, we step up to elevate stadium experiences, grow audiences, and create lasting organisational value.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Planning & Delivery

  • Develop and execute integrated campaigns aligned with matchday attendance, fan engagement, and commercial goals.
  • Drive holistic strategy across channels (digital, CRM, social, web, and paid media) while monitoring performance and optimising touchpoints.
  • Ensure timely delivery of campaigns, approvals, and communication—balancing multiple initiatives efficiently.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
