Marketing Manager - £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

We are Mantra Learning, one of the UK’s leading logistics learning and development organisations. We are an Ofsted grade 2 independent training provider who have specialised in providing training within the sector for over 58 years. The Manchester site is well established as one of the largest specialist logistics training facilities in the UK.

Through our two key brands, The Job Gym and The National Logistics Academy, we help thousands of individuals each year to gain new skills. This enables our learners to obtain employment within the logistics sector and drives the long-term growth of the industry.

We work with some of the biggest brands in the country, including ALDI, GXO and Travis Perkins, delivering approximately 400 Apprenticeships and over 1000 HGV licences each year. The organisation is dedicated to deliver programmes that develop the ‘Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours to enable learners to thrive in life and work’.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our friendly team. The position is full-time, working 37.5 hours a week.

Role Overview

The Marketing Manager will lead the marketing strategy for Mantra Learning Group, driving employer engagement, learner recruitment, and brand positioning across Mantra Learning, The Job Gym, and The National Logistics Academy. The role will deliver digital-first, data-driven campaigns, lead events and thought leadership initiatives, and develop the growing marketing team. Working closely with the Commercial Director and Senior Management Team, the postholder will strengthen brand reputation, build employer relationships, and ensure marketing activity delivers measurable engagement, enrolment, and commercial growth.

Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Develop and deliver the Group's marketing strategy to drive employer engagement, learner recruitment, and commercial growth.
  • Plan and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, content, PR, and events.
  • Lead digital demand generation through paid media, SEO, email marketing, CRM, and marketing automation.
  • Manage the marketing budget, using data and insight to maximise ROI and campaign performance.
  • Monitor and report on marketing KPIs, using analytics to optimise lead generation, engagement, and enrolment outcomes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the marketing team, managing external agencies and suppliers where required.
  • Strengthen the Group's brand reputation through thought leadership, PR, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build relationships with employers, industry bodies, and key stakeholders to support business development and sector influence.
  • Oversee website performance, content strategy, and brand consistency across all marketing channels.
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial Director and senior leadership team to align marketing activity with organisational priorities and funding objectives.
  • Ensure all marketing activity complies with GDPR, advertising standards, and funding body requirements.

Education and Knowledge

  • Degree in Marketing or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of B2B and B2C marketing, including employer engagement, brand development, and digital demand generation.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeships, government-funded training, and the wider skills sector (logistics or transport experience desirable).
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to use marketing to drive employer engagement, learner recruitment, and business growth.
  • Experience using CRM, Microsoft Office, and digital advertising/analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta/LinkedIn Ads Manager).
  • Understanding of events, PR, and thought leadership to enhance brand reputation and stakeholder engagement.
