Marketing Manager
This Marketing Manager role sits at the centre of a fast-scaling people advisory firm that specialises in assessment, development, interim, and search services reporting directly into SLT. Operating as a trusted partner to its clients, the business focuses on hiring and developing brilliant people. As the company enters its next phase of growth, this role is responsible for developing and executing a sector-specific marketing strategy and delivering a focused lead generation plan aligned with core business objectives.
You will own the systems and processes that underpin all marketing and business development campaigns, ensuring continuous improvement across content, website, email, social, and events to drive lead generation, engagement, and commercial impact. A significant part of the role involves building and maintaining reporting frameworks that track, analyse, and report on campaign and event performance, directly linking marketing activity to commercial outcomes and tracking metadata. You will also lead the planning, management, and end-to-end delivery of high-profile marketing and business development events —such as client events, roundtables, and webinars—ensuring they are developed cross-functionally from concept through to post-event follow-up. Alongside this, you will continuously identify and run experiments to optimise marketing spend based on results and market insights, working closely with consultants to generate compelling, high-quality content—including blogs, case studies, and insights—while maintaining a consistent brand message across all channels.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
