Marketing Manager

Marketing Manager | Manchester City Centre | Up to £55,000 DOE

Looking for a role where you can build a marketing function from the ground up? Want the autonomy to shape strategy, deliver campaigns, and make a genuine impact on a growing business?

If so, this could be worth a look.

The Business

Join a growing consultancy operating within the built environment, helping clients deliver smarter, more efficient construction and digital engineering solutions across the UK.

With ambitious growth plans and an established reputation within their sector, the business is now investing in marketing for the first time. This is an opportunity to become their first dedicated marketing hire, working closely with senior leadership to define the company’s marketing strategy and support the next phase of growth.

The Role

As Marketing Manager, you’ll take ownership of all marketing activity across the business, combining strategic planning with hands-on delivery.

This is a true generalist role where you’ll have the freedom to shape the marketing function, build brand awareness, and generate new opportunities across multiple channels. From website management and SEO through to content creation, LinkedIn, branding, and campaign delivery, you’ll be given the autonomy to make the role your own.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
