Marketing Manager – Medical Communications

Company Perception: We are pobl., an independent talent consultancy specialising in medical communications. We are partnering with an ambitious med comms agency to recruit a Marketing Manager responsible for building and leading their marketing strategy. This role involves shaping their positioning in the pharma and biotech landscape, generating inbound interest, and reinforcing their reputation as a people-first employer of choice.

You will own the marketing strategy end-to-end, defining positioning, designing and executing multi-channel campaigns, creating thought leadership content, and interpreting complex concepts into engaging and differentiated communications. Collaboration with leadership, business development, and service experts will ensure your work delivers tangible commercial impact.

This is a permanent position, based in the UK (Manchester, Oxfordshire, or hybrid/remote). It offers the chance to build a marketing function from the ground up in an organisation emphasising brand and culture as a priority.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
