Job Description

📍 St Albans, Hertfordshire | ⏰ Full-time | 💷 £50,000 + bonus, dependent on experience | 👥Reporting to the CEO

🚀 Founded in 1987, Meteor Communication operates in environmental monitoring markets, delivering innovative monitoring solutions for the Environment Agency, UK water companies, railways, airports, and international customers. Our work supports critical environmental protection and infrastructure, giving our team the opportunity to make a tangible real-world impact. We are rapidly expanding, with annual growth of 30% a year over the last 5 years and are profitable and cash generative.

Meteor Communications is a hybrid business that combines manufacturing, service, and data expertise. We design and manufacture a range of telemetry products, including the ESNET system and MRC remote cameras, and perform vital monitoring for the Private and Public Sector.

Meteor has been privately owned by its co-founders since 2007 and has almost 50 employees across 3 locations. 🌍 We are a world leader in the collation and analysis of water quality and other environmental data and have pioneered the concept of Water Quality as a Service (WQaaS) using our own proprietary, MeteorCloud system. In 2025 we collected and processed 500 million data points and 25 million pictures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
