What You'll Do
As our Marketing Manager for Versori by Avalara, you will own the end-to-end marketing motion for one of Avalara's most exciting growth products — an AI-native integration platform that compresses months of integration work into days. You will report to the Director of Sales – Versori and work closely with the broader Avalara marketing organization to build brand awareness, generate pipelines, and tell the Versori story through compelling content, events, and targeted campaigns.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
Every day you will be building and executing the marketing programs that put Versori in front of the right buyers at the right time. Your work will span:
Case Studies & Customer Stories — Interview customers (including enterprise accounts such as Walmart, Syspro, and J&J Fulfillment), write and produce compelling case studies that demonstrate measurable ROI, and manage the approval and publication process end to end. Events & Field Marketing — Plan, coordinate, and execute Versori's presence at industry events (e.g., Shoptalk, ERP and retail tech conferences), including booth logistics, speaker submissions, pre- and post-event campaigns, and social amplification. Account-Based Marketing (ABM) — Build and run targeted ABM programs for priority accounts in retail, ERP, hospitality, and SaaS verticals; work with Sales to align on target account lists, personalise outreach, and track pipeline influence. Social & Paid Advertising — Own Versori's social media presence (LinkedIn primary), write and schedule organic content, manage paid social ad campaigns, and report on performance metrics including reach, engagement, and lead volume. Workflow & Project Management — Organize and maintain the marketing calendar, manage agency and freelancer relationships, track campaign deliverables in project management tools, and ensure cross-functional alignment between Sales, Product, and the Avalara central marketing team. Content & Collateral — Develop sales enablement assets, one-pagers, email sequences, and landing page copy that support the full buyer journey from awareness through to closed-won. Agentic SDR Programs — Design and manage AI-powered SDR workflows to drive inbound and outbound lead flow; work with Sales to configure, test, and optimize agentic outreach sequences, ensuring quality lead handoff and measurable pipeline contribution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful
You have produced B2B case studies and customer success stories from scratch — you know how to get a customer to say yes, conduct the interview, and turn it into content that converts. You have planned and executed field marketing or event programmes, including logistics, vendor management, and post-event follow-up, for a SaaS or technology company. You have run ABM campaigns using tools such as HubSpot, 6sense, Demand base, or similar, and you can demonstrate pipeline influence as a result. You have managed paid social campaigns on LinkedIn (and ideally Meta or Google) — you understand targeting, creative testing, and budget optimization. You are comfortable owning a marketing calendar and keeping multiple workstreams moving simultaneously without dropping the ball — you use project management tools (Asana, Notion, Monday.com, or similar) to stay organized and keep stakeholders informed. You can write clearly and compellingly for a technical and commercial audience — you do not need an engineer to translate the product for you.
