Location: Warrington (or Stoke or Birmingham) – Hybrid Working Available Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 DOE

Focus 5 Recruitment are partnering with a growing and ambitious organisation to recruit a Marketing Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused marketing professional who understands that great marketing isn’t just about brand awareness and engagement—it’s about driving growth, generating opportunities, and delivering measurable business results.

You’ll join a business that values marketing as a strategic function and play a key role in shaping marketing activity, leading a talented team, and influencing commercial performance across the organisation. We’re looking for someone who can combine creativity with commercial thinking, using insight, data, and experience to develop campaigns that make a genuine impact on the growth of this business.

The Role

As Marketing Manager, you’ll take ownership of the marketing strategy and lead a team responsible for delivering campaigns that support:

  • Business growth
  • Customer acquisition
  • Brand development

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll ensure marketing activity is aligned with wider commercial objectives and delivers measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing an in-house marketing team
  • Creating and delivering integrated marketing campaigns that drive:
    • Lead generation
    • Business growth
  • Collaborating with sales and operational teams to ensure marketing activity supports commercial objectives
  • Developing:
    • Employer branding campaigns
    • Recruitment marketing campaigns to attract top talent
  • Managing marketing budgets and ensuring investment delivers strong returns
  • Analysing campaign performance and using data to optimise future activity
  • Identifying opportunities to:
    • Improve processes
    • Introduce new ideas
    • Enhance marketing effectiveness
  • Producing reports and presenting marketing performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ensuring marketing activity remains:
    • Innovative
    • Relevant
    • Commercially focused

About You

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who understands the connection between marketing activity and business performance.

You’ll be:

  • Commercially aware
  • Confident working with data
  • Comfortable challenging ideas when there is a better way to achieve results

Ideal Experience:

  • Previous experience leading marketing activity within a commercial organisation
  • Experience managing and developing marketing teams
  • A proven track record of delivering measurable growth through marketing
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Lead generation
    • Customer acquisition
    • Marketing ROI
  • Experience in:
    • Managing marketing budgets
    • Performance reporting
  • Strong digital marketing knowledge, including:
    • SEO
    • PPC
    • CRM
    • Marketing automation
    • Analytics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A data-led approach to decision-making and campaign optimisation
  • The ability to balance:
    • Strategic thinking
    • Hands-on delivery

Experience within professional services, education, training, engineering, construction, technical, or business-to-business sectors would be advantageous, but is by no means essential.
