Job Description

Lead the transformation of Canon's Integrated Printing & Services Group (IPSG) marketing communications function across Europe. As Marketing Operations Lead, you'll own the operating model behind integrated B2B campaigns—driving strategy, operational excellence, and cross-functional delivery at scale.

Rather than delivering communications yourself, you'll build and lead a high-performing content and campaign engine, defining processes, embedding best practice, and enabling seamless collaboration across a complex European matrix. If you're passionate about leading marketing transformation, optimising operations, and delivering commercial impact through integrated communications, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll lead a 13-person insourced marketing communications team, delivered through an embedded agency partner, overseeing content strategy, campaign planning, value propositions, audience insights, project delivery, localisation, and activation. Working closely with PR, Social, Digital, Paid Media, Web Publishing, and regional marketing teams, you'll ensure marketing communications are aligned, scalable, and consistently executed across EMEA.

Based at Canon's European Headquarters, this is a highly visible leadership role combining marketing operations, stakeholder management, people leadership, and change transformation to shape the future of Canon's marketing communications capability.

£57,276–£68,185 (depending on experience), plus a 10% annual bonus and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously evolve Canon's end-to-end content operating model, delivering efficient, scalable workflows from briefing through to local market activation.
  • Define and embed governance, processes, tools, SLAs, and best practices to enable high-quality B2B marketing communications across EMEA.
  • Lead a 13-person embedded content team, driving performance through clear objectives, KPIs, resource planning, prioritisation, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as the guardian of content quality, ensuring all communications are strategically aligned, consistent, and support IPSG business priorities.
  • Own content governance and approval frameworks, managing risks relating to quality, prioritisation, resourcing, and delivery.
  • Partner with PR, Social, Digital, Web Publishing, Localisation, Paid Media, and Marketing teams to deliver integrated, seamless campaigns across the region.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across EMEA, aligning priorities, managing demand, and championing the value of an integrated marketing communications function.
  • Lead the embedded agency partnership, ensuring high-quality delivery, effective collaboration, and continuous capability improvement.
  • Use performance data and insights to optimise operational efficiency, content effectiveness, stakeholder satisfaction, and adoption of new ways of working.
  • Drive transformation and change initiatives that standardise, simplify, and enhance Canon's marketing communications operations across Europe.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
