Wandering Voices Podcast (远游的我们)

Part-time | Remote | 5–7 hours per week | Minimum 3 months | Unpaid Internship

About the Role

Are you passionate about storytelling, digital media, and the Chinese diaspora? Do you want to gain hands-on experience in podcast production and marketing while building real UK-based portfolio experience? Wandering Voices is looking for a Marketing & Production Intern to support the next stage of our growth. This role combines podcast editing and audience growth strategy, offering direct mentorship from the founder. This is a flexible, remote internship ideal for students or early-career professionals seeking practical media experience.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities (Essential)

  • Edit podcast audio episodes (cleaning, trimming, structuring, exporting)
  • Edit short-form video clips for social media promotion
  • Prepare show notes and episode summaries (bilingual when required)
  • Support content publishing across podcast platforms

Marketing & Growth Support

  • Support social media planning and scheduling (e.g., Rednote, Instagram, Youtube, Tiktok, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Assist with audience growth initiatives
  • Support basic analytics tracking and reporting
  • Research potential brand collaboration opportunities
  • Assist with outreach to potential sponsors (revenue-sharing negotiable)

Requirements

  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong interest in podcasting, media, and cross-cultural storytelling
  • Reliable and able to meet agreed deadlines independently
  • Available 5–7 hours per week for at least 3 months

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience using video editing software
  • Experience using audio editing tools
  • Basic understanding of social media marketing
  • Experience managing content accounts or personal media projects
  • Familiarity with podcast platforms
