About the Role
Square Enix is a leading publisher of iconic franchises including Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest, NieR, Life is Strange, and Just Cause. Our mission: to create and deliver experiences that deeply resonate with players. We’re looking for a Marketing Science Manager to join our Forecasting team, bridging marketing strategy and quantitative outputs.
As the critical link between Marketing and Forecasting, this role translates campaign assumptions, awareness objectives, and promotional strategies into structured, decision-grade inputs for business planning and model scenarios.

### Responsibilities
Marketing-Forecast Integration & Learning
- Act as the hinge between Marketing and Forecasting, converting plans and assumptions into structured, quantified forecast inputs.
- Refine how campaigns, media used timing, promotio pricing impact are built into models.
- Ensure cohesion, execution from strategy to forecasting.
- Audit the seasonal trade license and media reliability in us and EU

Modeling & Forecast Scenarios
- Co-lead the design, validation and Senior Data Science teams.
- Translate insights into systematic forecast scenarios, including MIN/MAX assumptions ranges.
- Guarantee outputs are robust, explainable, actionable, and adhere to Bayesian principles.
Test & Learn & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and enact structured test & learn frameworks to validate core assumptions.
- Iterate models and inputs based on A/A/B experimental data and real-world outcomes.
Requirements
Essential
Technical Skills
- Advanced mathematicol Statistics (A-level or equivalent*).
- Python expertise: oOOP design (functions, classes) for analytical automation.
- Response modeling with media consumption (linear / non-linear models).
- Assessment of model performance metrics and iterative refinement methodology.
Industry Knowledge
- Demonstrated understanding of media spend efficiency KPIs and analytical coverage.
- Familiarity with concrete media data (Kantar, Ipsos, GfK, Nielsen, HenesySpecial).
- Critical evaluation of regional data availability, granularity, integrity across us/EU markets.
Soft Skills
- Ability to demystify complex technical findings for cross-treasury audiences.
- Collaborative culture as an incremental bridge to product plan, data science, agencies.
- Self-function team, strategic decision-maker jobs.
