We're looking for a Social Media & Digital Marketing Volunteer
We're looking for a Social Media & Digital Marketing Volunteer to join our mission to help tackle loneliness and help young adults build lasting friendships.

- Every video, photo and post has the potential to encourage someone who feels isolated to attend their first event, meet new people and begin building lasting friendships.
- By volunteering in this role, you'll help us reach more young adults experiencing loneliness, grow awareness of our work, strengthen engagement with our community, and showcase the real impact of our activities.
- Your creativity will directly support everything from event attendance and volunteer recruitment to fundraising, partnerships and national campaigns that aim to tackle loneliness at a wider level.
- Most importantly, you'll help ensure that more people discover a welcoming community where they can find friendship, belonging and support.

Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience creating content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or LinkedIn.
- A good eye for photography, videography and visual storytelling.
- Basic video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva or similar.
- Strong written communication skills and an understanding of different social media audiences.
- An awareness of current social media trends and what makes engaging content.
- The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively and take initiative.
- A willingness to receive feedback, collaborate with others and continuously improve.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our belief that everyone deserves meaningful friendships and wants to use their skills to help tackle loneliness.
What will you be doing?
We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media & Digital Marketing Volunteer to help inspire more young adults to build meaningful friendships.
Since launching in 2021, we've welcomed more than 60,000 young adults to our community through our programmes, campaigns and research designed to tackle loneliness.

As our community continues to grow, we're looking for someone who can help bring our work to life across social media.
As part of our marketing team, you'll help create engaging content that showcases our events, celebrates our members, and raises awareness of the growing issue of loneliness among young adults.
Typical Responsibilities Include
- Creating engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Filming and photographing community events and activities.
- Editing short-form videos, reels and social content.
- Planning and scheduling content across our social media channels.
- Responding to comments and helping grow our online community.
- Supporting campaigns and partnership activity through creative content.
- Monitoring performance and helping identify new ideas and trends.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their digital marketing portfolio while using their creativity to support a cause that genuinely changes lives.
You'll work alongside a passionate team, gain experience within a fast-growing non-profit, and have the freedom to contribute your own ideas.
