Marketing Specialist – German-Speaking Market

(Full-Time / Aquent Partnership Position)


About the Role

Aquent is collaborating with a global Leader in e-commerce and technology, driven to redefine how customers explore and purchase products using innovative technology and strategic marketing. As a Marketing Specialist on our dynamic team, you will:

  • Lead large-scale deal event marketing campaigns specifically for the German-speaking market, with a focus on sizeable growth during peak cycling (Q4).
  • Drive customer acquisition, engagement, and lifecycle transitions, leaving a measurable impact on millions of customer interactions.
  • Execute data-driven campaigns, optimize the shopping experience, and improve product discoverability, conversion, and retention via onsite merchandising, outbound channels, and customer touchpoints.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, operations, and business teams to deliver high-visibility initiatives in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Operate and execute end-to-end large-scale B2C deal event marketing campaigns—with a special emphasise on Germany’s peak season (Q4).
  • Design, launch, and optimize onsite merchandising strategies to boost:
    • Product discovery
    • Conversion rates
    • Customer retention
  • Develop comprehensive lifecycle marketing campaigns, ensuring seamless integration across onsite placements and external channels (email, push notifications, SMS messaging, etc.).
  • Coordinate and manage all customer-facing communication, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and engagement across diverse touchpoints.
  • Diligently monitor campaign performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain exceptional standards in execution quality.
  • Refine and localize messaging to meet German language standards and cultural relevance, ensuringoh arming audience connection.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Native-level German proficiency—proven through strong content refinement, localization, and cultural adaptation.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, campaign management, merchandising, or a related e-commerce/retail field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to multitask efficiently in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, including stakeholder management to foster productive cross-functional partnerships.
  • Ability to thrive independently, taking ownership of deliverables in a data-driven setting.

Nice-to-Have (Add Value)

  • Hands-on B2C e-commerce/marketing experience, particularly with Q4-holiday campaigns.
  • Knowledge of onsite merchandising strategies (homepage design, category page optimisation).
  • Familiarity with CRM/lifecycle marketing platforms or operational KPIs (click-through, churn, relevancy scores).
  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies to boost conversions and engagement.
