Role
In partnership with the Director, Sales Strategy & Operations (DSSO) and Marketing Manager, this role will be responsible for the deployment and execution of Marketing programs and initiatives within the Region, supporting Sales growth. This includes but is not limited to the planning and execution of trade shows and customer events, vendor coordination, internal event coordination, communications and alignment with Sysco Canada's marketing team and brand standards. This role is a subject matter expert in all core sales and marketing programs and promotions and will support entrenchment of these in the region.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the Marketing Manager in development of marketing strategy, assets, programs, and growth initiatives in the Region and in collaboration with the Canadian marketing team.
- Be the ambassador for and expert on programs such as Sysco Rewards, Sysco Perks, New Customer Onboarding, Restaurant Solutions, and all other internal resources in our sales toolkit.
- Plan and execute Customer Events and tradeshows with excellence and attention to detail and customer experience.
- Manage the execution of the regional calendar of marketing activities, including event planning, trade shows, general sales meetings (GSM), catalogues, sales growth programs, digital communications, and customer loyalty programs.
- Own communication excellence and marketing to our three levels of customers: External, Internal, and Vendor partners.
- Measure and report out on Local Sales Promotions and marketing programs, with the ability to make recommendations based on results, insights, and market analytics.
- Work collaboratively with the Sysco Canada marketing team, maintaining strong alignment and sharing of resources, strategies, processes, and tools.
- With your team, deliver the regional marketing budget on plan.
- Support a Customers First Mindset while carrying out daily duties.
- Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
- Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you)
- 1-2 years' work experience in a Field Marketing role.
- Food service industry experience is an asset.
- College diploma in Marketing or related concentration required.
- University degree considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Desktop Publishing and Graphic programs required.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills (verbal, written, presentations)
- Experience in event & tradeshow management.
- High learning agility
- Embraces change and champions corporate initiatives.
- Must have the ability to be detail-oriented and balance multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required as there may be travel up to 30%.
- Bilingualism in French and English is required for this position.

Responsabilités

Qualifications/compétences/exigences
- 1 à 2 ans d'expérience de travail dans un rôle en marketing de terrain.
- Une expérience dans l'industrie des services alimentaires constitue un atout.
- Diplôme d'études collégiales en marketing ou dans un domaine connexe requis.
- Diplôme universitaire considéré comme un atout.
- Excellentes compétences informatiques et connaissance intermédiaire à avancer de Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook ainsi que des logiciels de publication assistée par ordinateur (PAO) et de conception graphique.
- Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en influence (verbale, écrite et lors de présentations).
- Expérience en gestion d'événements et de salons professionnels.
- Grande capacité d'apprentissage et d'adaptation.
- Ouverture au changement et capacité à promouvoir les initiatives de l'entreprise.
- Capacité à porter une grande attention aux détails et à gérer plusieurs projets simultanément dans un environnement dynamique et en évolution rapide.
- Permis de conduire valide avec un bon dossier de conduite et accès à un véhicule requis, puisque des déplacements pouvant représenter jusqu'à 30 % du temps de travail peuvent être nécessaires.
- Bilingue (français et anglais)
- La maîtrise de l'anglais est requise pour ce poste afin de communiquer efficacement avec des collègues anglophones et d'exercer ses fonctions dans un environnement de travail bilingue.
