Marketing Strategist D2C E-Commerce Brand (Freelance+Remote)
Own our marketing engine. Lead our team. Grow a brand people love. We are a fast-growing global pet brand. We work with a lean, tight-knit team of freelancers who operate more like a startup crew than a remote workforce. We communicate and move fast, and genuinely invest in the people we work with — from team trips to personal gestures that show we notice when someone goes above and beyond. It's not a transactional relationship. New team members in key roles like this one work directly with our CEO from day one. That's not just a perk — it's how we operate. Read this before applying. We're not a regular company and this is not a regular freelance gig. We work fast, change direction often, speak our minds, and expect the same from you. If feedback stings, if ambiguity frustrates you, or if you need hand-holding — this role will not be a good fit. If you thrive on ownership, move fast, and want to be rewarded massively for results — keep reading. This is a newly created, senior-level role. You'll be the person who owns our marketing strategy end-to-end — bridging creative, paid ads, organic, and CRO into one coherent, high-performing engine. You'll work directly with our CEO/founder and collaborate daily with our Marketing Executives. Own and streamline the Ad Creative process — from brief to launch — coordinating with creators, editors, CRO, organic, and Paid Ads teams Lead the marketing team: set direction, manage performance, raise the bar Make strategic marketing decisions alongside the CEO and Marketing Executives Test angles, own our target audience, and translate insights into action Analyse ad performance and extract what actually matters Stay ahead of creative trends and watch competitors closely Build and maintain a dynamic tracking and performance system across the team Keep branding consistent across every platform and touchpoint We are looking for: Pro-activity Leadership Planning & organising Creativity Ownership Detail oriented Innovative with trends Data-driven You'll thrive in this role if you... Spot a problem and fix it without being asked — you don't wait for permission Have strong opinions and can defend them, but drop them fast when the data says otherwise Are comfortable with changing goals, shifting priorities, and moving faster than feels safe Use the hidden word "summer" in your application so we know you've read the whole post Take direct feedback as a gift, not a dig Want to earn significantly more by performing significantly better You won't have a great time if you : Need lots of structure, process, or reassurance to feel confident. Prefer slow and steady over fast and iterative. Are looking for a hands-off client relationship — this is a team, not a client-agency dynamic. Practical details: Fully remote · Freelance contract (no maximum hours, work as much as you want) Time tracking via our tool NDA with non-compete clause required We'll start by seeing what you can do. Once results are clear, compensation grows fast — with bonuses and performance-based upside that most companies don't offer. Performance-based pay on top of hourly rate with high bonus potential Direct access to CEO — no middle layers Team trips and in-person meetups Real team culture — not just a freelance gig We reward people who earn it — and we mean it Flexible remote work — results are what count

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
