About the Role

Universal Music Publishing Group UK is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing & Sync Assistant to support both our Marketing and Sync teams. This is an exciting 3-month paid work experience opportunity running from 7 September to 4 December.

It's an ideal entry-level opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for music, creativity and design.

Working across both departments, you'll support the creation of engaging marketing assets while gaining hands-on experience of the sync process, helping showcase our songwriters and catalogue across film, TV, advertising, gaming and digital media.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing

  • Champion the UMPG brand, ensuring all creative assets are delivered to a high standard and remain consistent with our visual identity and brand guidelines.
  • Design engaging creative assets for social media, presentations, marketing campaigns, internal communications and other marketing initiatives.
  • Support the creation of compelling copy and visual storytelling across social media, marketing campaigns and wider brand communications.
  • Contribute creative ideas and assist in the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns that celebrate our songwriters, catalogue and brand.
  • Stay up to date with trends in design, social media, digital marketing and music culture, bringing fresh ideas and creative thinking to the team.

Sync

  • Support the Sync team with day-to-day administration and creative projects.
  • Create and maintain playlists for client pitching and internal use.
  • Upload and organise songs, metadata and assets across internal systems.
  • Assist in preparing music pitches and creative briefs.
  • Attend creative Sync meetings, taking notes and following up on actions where required.

Essential

  • A genuine passion for music, with an appreciation of both contemporary and catalogue repertoire.
  • A genuine passion for creativity, design and visual storytelling, with a desire to develop your creative skills.
  • A strong interest in marketing, social media, design and the music industry.
  • A basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Express, and/or Canva.
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail and time management.
  • A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and the ability to work collaboratively.

Desirable

  • Experience creating content for social media.
  • Basic video editing experience.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to build practical experience across marketing, design and sync within one of the world's leading music publishers, developing creative, commercial and industry knowledge in a collaborative environment.
